The past couple of days in DC have been so fun! On Friday night we went to a Washington Wizards game which was really cool because I have never been to a pro basketball game before. A few girls and I came home early after the game to rest up for the next day because we had a big day ahead of us.
The next morning we got to sleep in for the first time on the trip. When we woke up, we all went to breakfast with Mrs. Teaff and her husband and Dr. Cooper and his wife at a really cute little restaurant called Tonic on the George Washington University campus. After that, we had to hurry back to the hotel to change before the play.Once everyone was ready we all walked over to the Kennedy Center to see “Young Frankenstein”. The Kennedy Center was so pretty, I wish I could have taken pictures. Everyone seemed to like the play, but we were still tired after, so we all came back to the hotel to rest a little before dinner.
Last night we went to the Old Ebbitt Grill and had over a two hour dinner. It was really nice to just relax and be inside in a warm restaurant. But after dinner we went back out in the cold and walked around DC. It was really fun to see the city at night. We started to scout out stores we wanted to shop in the next day. But after a while we started to get really cold and it was getting close to curfew, so we decided to head back to the metro and come home to the hotel. Once we were in for the night, we decided to all meet in one room and talk for a little while. After a while, we decided to split up back into our rooms to rest for the next day, which would be our first completely free day of the trip.
